We were reading our devotional the other night when Johan said he wanted to tell me something.

During recess, his friend in school asked him to draw a video game character, which he did. Then another classmate came in the room, looked at his drawing and said, “Pangit naman ng drawing mo!”.

Exams week na naman!

My eldest son is in third grade this year. Since he started school, I make it a point to review him during exams week. As soon as their pointers to review were handed down, pagpupuyatan ko na ang paggawa ng practice exams nya after work, then pagdating ng weekend magre-review na kami nyan.

I usually sit down with him and go through all his lessons in every subject then I leave him alone to answer the practice exams that I did. This year, I want him to form his own study habits. Kaya I told him to go through all his lessons on his own. I made him study the subjects according to their exam schedule – for example, first day of exams will be Cultural Arts and Health, that’s what I made him study first and so on and so forth. Then I give him the practice exams that I prepared.

Anong pangarap mo?

Aside from wanting to be a doctor nung bata pa ako, gusto kong maging writer.  Kaya nga I started to blog nung preparing kami magpakasal ng asawa ko. Blogging for me then was like my online diary where I post what I want, when I want.

Few years into married life, I became busy with work and our two kids. I post less frequently then eventually stopped blogging. Sayang nga,  because I worked hard to create the little traffic my personal blog was getting then and I was actually receiving sponsored posts which I get paid as well. Kaya lang, family comes first.

Now, my kids are both going to school. Hindi na masyadong alagain, madaldal nga lang pareho, but finally I have the extra time to do something for myself – to write.
